Guidance

If your vehicle has downed power lines across it, stay in the vehicle.

Sometimes, power lines are downed in vehicle accidents.

The power lines may drape over the vehicle. The tires act as insulation, so urge anyone inside the car to stay there where the risk of electric shock is minimized.

Contact emergency services.

If you are inside the vehicle, activate Help in Ylore, so your live location is known to select Contacts.

If outside the vehicle, do not approach the scene until it has been declared safe by authorities.

Stand well back and try to encourage any bystanders to keep a distance of at least 20ft (six meters).
